The reason this all began

I was trying to take good/creative pictures of my kids and it was frustrating me that I didn't know what I was doing. I did have a few photography classes in college, but lets face it that was 10 years ago. So I did some research and found that the Dougherty Art Center here in Austin has an adult photography class starting in 2 weeks; I signed up. This lead to buying a new camera & photoshop. My goal is to be able to take the camera off of manual and then also edit the picture in photoshop. Hopefully you will see a big improvement as the year goes on. I figured by starting a blog it would make me take my camera w/ me as much as possible to try and capture all the "in the moment" shots of my family & friends and then have an outlet to share them.
